Andy Hecht, Editor in Chief, Head of Research

Andy Hecht is a sought-after commodity and futures trader, an options expert and analyst. He is consistently ranged as one of the top three contributors on Seeking Alpha in the commodities, precious metals, and foreign exchange categories. He is also the author of the weekly Hecht Commodity Report– a comprehensive, deep-dive commodities report that comes out each Wednesday

Andy spent nearly 35 years on Wall Street, including two decades on the trading desk of Phillip Brothers, which became Salomon Brothers and ultimately part of Citigroup. He ran sales and trading for a myriad of commodity products

Over almost four decades, he has researched, structured and executed some of the largest trades ever made, involving massive quantities of precious metals and bulk commodities.

Andy understands the market in a way many traders can’t imagine. He’s booked vessels, armored cars, and trains to transport and store a broad range of commodities. And he’s worked directly with The United Nations and the legendary trading group Phibro.

Today, Andy remains in close contact with sources around the world and his network of traders.

He consults for companies involved in producing and consuming commodities. Andy’s book How to Make Money with Commodities, published by McGraw-Hill was released in 2013 and has received excellent reviews.  Andy held a Series 3 and Series 30 license from the National Futures Association and has been a collaborator and strategist with hedge funds. He covers all commodities that trade on futures exchanges around the globe as well as markets across all asset classes.

 

Keith Harwood, Chief Options Strategist

Keith started his career in the options pits of the CBOE. As market technology changed, he successfully transitioned to off-floor trading by constructing directional portfolios using options and futures as a market-maker, proprietary trader, and hedge fund trader.

After completing his MBA with Honors at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Keith founded Trade Academy in 2017 to share his expertise in Equity, Fixed Income, Commodity, and Cryptocurrency trading.

Dan Passarelli

Dan Passarelli is an author, trader and former member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and CME Group. Dan has written two books on options trading — “Trading Option Greeks” and “The Market Taker’s Edge.”

He is also the founder and CEO of Market Taker Mentoring, Inc., a leading options education firm that provides online options education, options newsletters and personalized, one-on-one coaching for option traders.

Todd “Bubba” Horwitz

Todd Horwitz — known world-wide as Bubba — is the chief market strategist at BubbaTrading.com. He is a regular contributor on Fox, CNBC, BNN, Kitco, and Bloomberg.

He also hosts his daily podcast ‘The Bubba Show.’ He is a 36-year member of the Chicago exchanges and was one of the original market makers in the SPX.

Don Fishback

The original VIX guru, Don Fishback is widely recognized as one of the foremost experts in the field of probability analysis and its application to options trading.

In 1994, Don introduced the retail public to the concept of utilizing volatility to calculate probability, using a method he calls ODDS. His ODDS Probability Cone tool, introduced in MetaStock back in 1998, has become an essential tool in nearly every options brokerage toolkit.

More recently, Don developed a revolutionary, all-new way of calculating probability and using it to more accurately value options.

Dr. Duke

Kerry W. Given, Ph.D., is the founder of Parkwood Capital, LLC, a business consisting of stock and options coaching, a weekly newsletter, and three trading advisory services.

He has over thirty years of experience trading in the equity markets and has traded options in his stock portfolio since 1999. Dr. Duke is the author of “No Hype Options Trading” and “Time is Money.”

Steven Kalayjian

From 1992 until 2004 Stephen traded his own capital as well as that of various family offices and became a successful day trader, trading nearly two billion shares of US stocks.

In 2005, Stephen founded his own firm to research and develop software to help identify trends, reversals, patterns, and divergences in the market place for all asset classes and time frames.

During that time Stephen also wrote daily and monthly newsletters and hosted a daily market recap covering the U.S. equity, gold and crude oil markets.
