Dr. Duke

Kerry W. Given, Ph.D. (a.k.a. Dr. Duke), is the founder of Parkwood Capital, LLC, a business consisting of stock and options coaching, a weekly newsletter, and three trading advisory services.

He has over thirty years of experience trading in the equity markets and has traded options in his stock portfolio since 1999. His formal finance training includes graduate level business and finance courses and advanced options training at the CBOE Options Institute.

Dr. Given is a frequently invited speaker at the Money Show, Traders Expo, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, and on behalf of several brokerage firms. His daily blog is picked up and republished by several other financial web sites. His talks, articles, and books focus on distinguishing the financial facts from the marketing hype and get rich quick schemes.

Dr. Given earned his B.S. from the University of Florida and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
